Mid Atlantic Section ASPB Annual Spring Meeting

This years spring meeting of the Mid-Atlantic Section of the American Society of Plant Biologists (MAS-ASPB) will be held on Friday April 8th 2011 in the Crist Board Room of the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center at the University of Maryland, College Park. This meeting is held back-to-back with the Annual Minisymposium on Plant Biology which is being held on Saturday April 9th 2011. The MAS-ASPB meeting will consist primarily of talks by undergraduates, graduate students and post-docs. The best undergraduate and graduate student talk of the day will receive the Marsho Award which provides an annual membership in ASPB and an annual subscription to The Plant Cell or Plant Physiology. The year, scheduled keynote talks will be given by Dr. Richard Jorgensen and Dr. Manuel Lerdau. Registration is $30.00 for regular members and non-members and $15.00 for undergraduate, graduate students and postdocs. Registration is due by Friday April 1st 2011. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

We are soliciting ABSTRACTS for the SHORT TALKS at the MAS-ASPB meeting. Please submit abstracts by Friday April 1st if you wish to give a talk so that the schedule of talks can be arranged. Postdocs and students are encouraged to participate. Abstracts can be submitted to aspb.mas@gmail.com.

All plant biologists in the Mid-Atlantic region are invited to participate and attend this meeting.

REGISTRATION

Everyone should register.
Regular member: $30.00 (pay at door-cash or check)
Student or postdoc: $15.00 (free for those who present their work at the meeting)
Undergraduate presenters will receive a $50 travel award

 

The MAS-ASPB will be held in conjunction with the Plant Biology Minisymposium 2011 (April 9, Sat. at the University of Maryland)

The minisymposium is free to all but registration is also required
