Other UM summer programs for high school students
|
Each summer the College of Chemical and Life Sciences invites 100 rising high school juniors and seniors to participate in a week-long science immersion program. Students engage in inquiry-based projects, attend seminars and workshops, and interact with Chemical and Life Sciences undergraduate students and faculty. Students considering a career in the sciences will have the opportunity to learn about the research process and experience the excitement of discovery. Participants will spend the week working in our freshman biology laboratories. Past Jump Start programs have focused on forensic science, biomedical science, biotechnology and animal physiology and behavior.
Applications are available each year on December 15 and are accepted through March 15 (postmark date).
