MOCB Establishes Partnership with Shanghai Jiatong Univeristy

The MOCB Program at the University of Maryland has established a partnership with Shanghai Jiaotong University in China.  Jiaotong is ranked among the top ten Universities in China and has recently relocated to a brand new campus with state of the art research facilities.  The University has an active new group of faculty pursuing cutting-edge research in life sciences and biotechnology.  The MOCB Program will accept 1-2 of the very top students from Jiaotong, or neighboring Universities in Shanghai, including Fudan.  Students will be interviewed in Shanghai by Professors Yan Yu and Wei Han. These interview focus not only on scientific potential, but also on English ability.  As both Drs.
